| WORKING OCUPATION |

Working occupation is performed in four
workshops: Ceramics, Carpeting , Tailoring
and Shoemaking. Twelve members of
Association were included in program of
working occupation (youth with special needs
from 16 to 35 years). Program realize every
day from 8h to 14h. |

| DAILY
PROVIDING FOR CHILDREN WITH DIFFICULT
PSYCHOPHYSICAL DISTURBANCES |

|
Daily providing is organized for children
with difficult psychophysical disturbances,
age from 6 to 18 years, every working day
from 10h to 14h. Six children are included
in daily providing program. |

PREVENTION, IDENTIFICATION AND EARLY
STIMULATION |
| |
|
Program of prevention, identification and
early stimulation is realized in
collaboration with authorized health
departments and social security department.
The main aim of prevention, identification
and early stimulation is to find out any
kind of damages during pregnancy, birth or
early childhood and to take simulative
measures in accordance to identified damages
to mitigate the consequences as possible.
Six month old children where included in
program of early stimulation. |

| INDIVIDUAL PSYCHOSOCIAL PROGRAM |

|
Experts team of Center for social work and
Association of parents of children and youth
with special needs (psychologist,
pediatrician, speech therapist, social
worker, pedagogue,
physiotherapist) realize psychosocial
treatment of children and youth with special
needs. Psychosocial treatment performs in
Center for children and youth with special
needs every working day from 8 to 14 h and
Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 17 to
20 h.
This kind of services
includes 45 children and youth with special
needs, primary children younger then 6
years. |

| REHABILITATION IN COMMUNITY |
| |
|
Center for rehabilitation as a part Medical
center performs program of rehabilitation in
community for children and youth with
special needs. Partners in realization of
this program where: Association of Parents
of Children and Youth with special needs and
Medical center.
Rehabilitation treatment includes 20
children and youth, members of Association
of Parents of Children and Youth with
special needs. |

| CONTINUED DAILY PROVIDING |
| |
|
Continued daily providing includes children
from 1 to 18 years. Work in continued daily
providing is based on druzenju djece
children with special needs, their brothers
and sisters, parents and other members of
families of children with special needs.
Working hours of continued daily providing
is from Monday to Thursday from 17h to 20h. |

| EDUCATION |
| |
|
Parents of children and youth with
special needs and experts working with them
are included in education program. Process
of education is permanent and realized in:
seminar, workshop, conferences, forums,
experts visits and reading professional
literature. Parents and amateurs learn new
skills about institutional development of
organization and applying of new methods in
work with children and youth with special
needs.
Twelve parents and experts went through
different education programs.

| INTEGRATION AND INCLUSION |
| |
|
Integration of children and youth with
special needs into community is permanent
process through life time of children, youth
and persons with special needs. In age from
1 to 2 years starts applying of first
integration steps in Center for children and
youth with special needs, with spontaneous
or organized visits without special
needs. Integration continues in pre-school
institutions. Civil kindergarten accepts
from 1 to 2 children with special needs
and 3 private kindergarten from 1 to 2
children. In primary and high school
integration is done in legally regulated
program of inclusion so children with
physical and mild psychical difficulties can
be included in regular teaching process. Six
children with special needs attempts three
primary school in Trebinje and three
children attempts two high school.
Employment of persons with special needs is
good way integration, but non of our members
is employed. Programs integration
realized through permanent association with:
Center for social work, kindergartens,
primary schools, high schools, Ministry of
education and culture, OSCE BiH, Fond for
childrens protection and Bureau for
employment RS. |

| DEVELOPMENT OF PARTNERSHIP AND
NETWORK |

|
The most of activities of Association is
realized with partners in community. The
whole concept of care for children and youth
with special needs is founded on partnership
between professionals and parents, through
planning, realization and monitoring. The
main partner of Association is Center for
social work. Association develop Certain
kinds of partnership with: Municipality of
Trebinje, education and health sector, state
and private economy sector, religious
subjects, sports association, other NGO and
international organizations. Association is
member of "Hercegovina" referent group and
Alliance of associations for help to
mentally retarded persons RS. |

| MATERIAL HELP |
| |
|
Material help to families of children and
youth with special needs is realized in:
- the poorest families
- providing the helping devices, medicines
and hygiene materials
- help in departure for healing
- financial help for summer vacation and
sports events for members of association
- various gifts (New Years and birthdays,
cloth,
sports equipment) |

| RECREATION ACTIVITIES |
| |
|
Recreation
activities realized in: - summer vacation
on sea
- sports competitions on special Olympics of
BiH
- excursions |

| VOLUNTEERS WORKS |
| |
|
Volunteers included
in all activities of Associations are
parents and other members of families of
children and youth with special needs,
professionals from Center for Social Work,
high school students, Fine Arts Academy
students, youth of Red Cross Trebinje,
members of NGO, members of cultural, sports
associations and representatives of
religious institutions. Average of thirty
to fifty volunteers are included in
activities of Associations. |

| MUSIC THERAPY |
| |
|
Children from 6
to 18 years with difficult
psycho-physical disturbances are included in
program of music therapy. Program is
organized by Music Center Pavaroti Mostar,
one day a week. Program includes eight
children. |

| INFORMATIVE ACTIVITIES |
| |
|
Getting information is continuous process
following other activities of Association.
Techniques of informative working are
various (public reports, immediate
communication, bulletin boards, press
conference, broadcasts, etc) and their use
is to inform children and youth with special
needs about all activities of Association.
Radio and Television of Republic of Srpska,
PBS BiH, Television Mostar, Nezavisne
novine, Blic, Glas Srpski, Glas Trebinja,
SRNA, ONASA and Hercegovacke novine. |

| LAW DECISIONS |
| |
|
Association and its members are
included in making of law decisions related
to children and youth with special needs,
indirectly by Association for Help to
Mentally Retarded Persons in RS and
Coordination Body of Organizations of
Invalids of Republic of Srpska. |
